Charge sheet against minister not appropriate: Tiwari

Satna, MP, Jan 30 (UNI) Senior Congress leaders Shriniwas Tiwari has described as inappropriate the charge sheet against former Minister of State for Water Resources Jugal Kishore Bagri in a scam in appointment of 'shikshakarmis'.

Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Tiwari said the matter had come up before him during his tenure but he had not permitted the Lokayukta to submit a charge sheet and it was inappropriate to present a charge sheet without challenging his decision in a court.

Alleging that law and order situation had deteriorated under the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh Government, he said the common man was confronting several problems.

He wondered over the appropriateness of the constitution of Kisan Ayog and taking out Kisan Rath Yatra.

He said power crisis was at its peak and the entire Rewa division was facing drought-like situation but no relief work has started.

Mr Tiwari alleged that foodgrains from ration shops were being sold in markets instead of being distributed among the poor.

He also put forth his decision to fight the next state assembly elections.
