Balkumbh to be organised next year

Jabalpur, Jan 30 (UNI) A grand 'Balkumbh' will be organised in Haridwar next year in which about 11,000 children would receive cultural education besides training of 'sadhna (spiritual practice)'.

''Balkumbh will be organised in Haridwar next year with the objective of providing cultural education to children. During the Balkumbh, children will receive education about Indian culture and spiritual practice,'' said Swami Satyamitranand Maharaj, while addressing a prayer meeting at the Samanvya Viklanga Seva Kendra (SVSK) here yesterday.

He stressed that service was the beauty of human life and charity was the best means for attaining God.

Swami Ramdas provided support of Rs 25,000 for organising the 'Balkumbh.' Swami Satyamitranand donated artificial body parts to handicapped persons with the cooperation of SVSK on the occasion. Swami Govind Devgiri, Swami Akhileshwaranand Giri and Sindhi Samaj's Dharamguru Swami Ramdas Maharaj were present.

SVSK in charge Jitendra Jamdar said the institute had been working for handicapped persons since the past 12 years and has provided artificial body parts to several people.

The institute had provided artificial body parts to 24 people yesterday. So far, 3,738 handicapped people had been benefitted by the Kendra.
