Aptech garners Q4FY07 revenues of Rs 44.07 cr

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Aptech Ltd, a global learning solutions company, today posted net revenues of Rs 44.07 crore for the quarter ended December 2006, as compared to Rs 39.04 crore in the corresponding period.

For the year ending 2006, the net revenues were recorded to be growing by 13 per cent to Rs 176.94 crore from Rs 157.03 crore in the same period last fiscal.

The company reported a negative profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1.65 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2006 which was higher than the loss reported in the corresponding quarter last year due to investments of over Rs 4 crore made in marketing and people resources for its new businesses of Avalon Aviation Academy, Learning Services and Synerg, it said in a statement.

Mr Pramod Khera, CEO&MD, Aptech Ltd, said, ''We strengthened our foothold in South-East Asia with the establishment of our Malaysia office. Our acquisitions of 2006, Avalon Aviation Academy and Synergetics gained strength in the last quarter and the investments made in marketing and human resources during the year are expected to result in improved revenues in these businesses in the forthcoming quarters.'' Global system-wide revenues of Aptech were Rs 224.04 crore for the quarter ended December 2006, as compared to Rs 169.13 crore in the corresponding period.

For the year ended 2006, the global system-wide revenues stood at Rs 922.67 versus Rs 499.94, growing by 85 per cent.
