Amara Raja net sales up 60%, pat up 117%

Chennai, Jan 30 (UNI) Industrial and Automotive Battery major Amara Raja Batteries Limited has recorded 60 per cent and 117 per cent growth ending 31 December 2006 at Rs 4,027.04 million (2,520.73 million) and Rs 318.15 million (146.57 million) respectively.

The Q3 net sales stood at Rs 1,463 million (977.71 million) and PAT at Rs 97 million (68.69 million), a press release said here today.

The Quarter on quarter (QoQ) has grown by 50 per cent while PAT rose 41 per cent.

Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, an Amara Raja-Johnson Controls Company with 26 per cent equity from Johnson Controls is the technology leader in the Indian storage battery industry, manufacturing batteries for both the Industrial and Automotive applications, the release added.
