Alps Industries introduces Vista Home Fashions Coordinates

Chennai, Jan 30 (UNI) Alps Industries Limited, India's leading textiles company, today announced the introduction of "Vista Home Fashions Coordinates" to dress up every room in a house and double its turnover to Rs 500 crore in the next two years.

Vista Home Fashions offered a wide range of products for different moods and personalities and each product was developed after conducting extensive research, fulfilling the needs of all consumers, Sanjay Gupta, General Manager (Marketing) said, addressing a press conference here.

Mr Gupa said Alps, a pioneer in organic cotton, used only eco-friendly natural dyes for making the new product range. Of the 35,000 MT of organic cotton produced in the world, 12,000 MT were produced in India and Alps produced 500 MT, he said.

The company, which was growing the cotton in about 4000 acre in Uttranchal and Uttar Pradesh, would double the cotton growing area in the next three years, he added.

The diversification into Home Fashions would help the company to double its turnover from the present Rs 250 crore to Rs 500 crore in the next couple of years. As part of promoting the Lifestyle products, the company would be spending about Rs 10 crore for setting up 600 exclusive retail outlets across the country.

With an aim to meet the end-consumers to get the feel of the products, the company, apart from the exclusive retail outlets, would make available the new range of products through lifestyle stores and large Institutions like Army Canteens and Railways, Mr Gupta said.

He said greater exposure of consumers to international trends in decor and fashions has caused large scale upgradation both in the offices and homes.

"As our company has a significant presence in home decor, home furnishing and fashion accessories segments, the trends have directly helped our growth and during the current fiscal, we expect to grow by more than 40 per cent," Mr Gupta added.
