Fish poachers' gang busted in Haryana, 11 held
Hisar, Jan 27 (UNI) The Haryana Police has busted an inter-state gang of fish poachers and arrested eleven people in this connection in Bheria village of this district.
Police today said the accused used to poach fish from Panchayati ponds in Haryana villages and sell them in Delhi.
The accused, eight of them hailing from Bihar and three Haryana residents, were caught in Bheria village when they were about to take away fish, worth about Rs 70,000, from a local pond in a truck.
They were identified as Ram Kishan, Munna, Raju, Santosh, Ram Chander, Satrohan, Chaman, Sakal Kumar (all from Bihar) and Ramesh, Manoj and Satyavan from Haryana.
All the accused had been booked under Section 379 of the IPC, police said.
