Dehra Dun, Jan 27 (UNI) Uttarakhand unit of Communist Party of India (CPI) today released its second and last list of candidates along with its election manifesto for the state Assembly polls slated for February 21.

The party has decided to field its candidates from four constituencies this time as compared to 14 in the last Assembly election in the state. Mr. Faizee said that instead of contesting several seats, this time the party would concentrate on those constituencies where winning probability was more.

CPI national Secretary Shameem Faizee told reporters that Kamala Ram Nautiyal has been selected by the party to contest from Gangotri constituency.

The party had already declared the list of its three candidates from Nandprayag (Anand Singh Rana), Kedarnath (Ravindra Jaggi) and Pantnagar (Gopal Singh). Though the party had failed to secure any seat in the last election, Mr Nautiyal was placed in second number in the last Assembly poll with 610 votes short against the Congress candidate.

Meanwhile, CPI's Ravindra Jaggi today filed his nomination from Kedarnath along with BJP's sitting MLA Asha Nautiyal and CPIM's Gangadhar Nautiyal.
