Procurement of foodgrains in UP fell by 6 per cent

Lucknow, Jan 26 (UNI) The procurement of foodgrain under the minimum support price in Uttar Pradesh fell by over six per cent at almost 7.15 lakh metric tonnes in the current fiscal so far.

According to official sources here, in the same period last year, over 7.60 lakh metric tonnes foodgrain was procured.

At the same, the rice mills in UP have collectively delivered 9.69 lakh metric tonnes of rice so far.
