No threat to government : CM
Bangalore, Jan 26 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, today claimed there was no threat to the stability of JD(S)-BJP coalition government in the State, following no-trust notices moved by the opposition Congress against presiding officers of the both the houses of the Legislature.
Speaking to newsmen after attending the customary Tea-party hosted by the Governor T N Chaturvedi in Rajbhavan here this evening, he said ''we will face the situation boldly and see that there is no threat to the 11-month old coalition government.'' Replying to a question he said the allocation of portfolio to the newly inducted five ministers would be done in a day or two.
The BJP has to decide about portfolio for its two new ministers, on JD-S side the issue has been finalised.
On delay in appointment of Chairman and Presidents for various Boards and Corporation, Mr Kumaraswamy said the BJP has submitted only the names and has not communicated about who should head which Board and Corporations. The JD(S) is also finalising its list of candidates who would be appointed to the Boards and Corporations and it would be made known by this month end, he added.
Mr Kumaraswamy, while asserting that the government was very much committed to waive-off the farmers loans taken from Cooperative institutions, said that a clear picture would emerge in the coming Budget proposals. ''The credit for waiving of farm loans would go to the coalition government and not to any individual and there is no difference of opinion on the issue with BJP'', he added.
