Gujarat Guv unfurls National Tricolour in Bharuch

Bharuch, Gujarat, Jan 26 (UNI) Gujarat Governor Naval Kishore Sharma unfurled the National Tricolour here today to mark the 58th Republic Day celebrations in the presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

The Governor and the Chief Minister inspected a guard of honour and distributed awards at the function. A colourful cultural programme was held on the occasion, while students and the State police put up thrilling physical exercise demonstrations. A large number of people and school chilren attended the functon.

In Gujarat, the State Government's official Republic Day celebrations are held in different districts every year. This year, it was the turn of Bharuch to host the function.

Elaborate security arrangements had been made for the Republic Day celebrations here.
