Efforts on to wipe out insurgency in J'khand: Razi
Ranchi, Jan 26 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi today said efforts are on to completely wipe out insurgency from the state, as it hampers development.
'' We have made some breakthrough in the anti-insurgency operation,'' Mr Razi said, unfurling the Tricolour at the historic Morhabadi ground amid tight security.
Expressing concern over the ongoing naxalite activities, the Governor said the government was concentrating on schemes that would generate employment at village levels.
He hoped that the employment scheme would certainly bring the misled youth back to the mainstream.
The Governor also brought attention to the industrial policy of Jharkhand, saying the government, while expanding industries, should take care of the displaced people.
Besides, the government must also see that the development of industries did not lead to ecological imbalance, he noted.
Regarding the National Games 2007, to be hosted by the state, Mr Razi said preparations were afoot to hold the event on time and make it a big success.
