Bangladeshi intruder shot dead by BSF in Tripura
Agartala, Jan 26 (UNI) A Bangladeshi intruder was shot dead today when he defied order from the BSF to go back in Tripura's west district, police said.
Three Bangladeshi nationals had crossed the Khowai river and entered into Indian territory. But the patrolling jawans noticed them and ordered to retreat. When they refused the jawans fired at them in which one of them was killed and remaing two fled.
Later, the Bangladesh Rifles resorted to unprovoked firing on the BSF who tried to collect the body from the spot. BSF also retaliated but there was no casualty.
A flag meeting between BSF and BDR was scheduled to take place to discuss the issue to hand over the body to Bangladesh Rifles.
