Soren to be produced in court on Feb 19

Jamshedpur, Jan 25 (UNI) A local court today ordered the incarerated JMM supremo and former Union Minister Shibu Soren to appear before the court on February 19.

A charge-sheet was framed against Soren and his two party colleagues Dulal Bhuiyan and Champai Soren in November last year in a case of violation of election code of conduct on August 8, 1999 at Chamaria guest house here.

First class judicial Magistrate of Jamshedpur court Piyush Srivastava had earlier, ordered Soren and two others to appear before it court today.

Soren's lawyers Kewal Kishore and J Barat Babla in a petition prayed to extend the date of production since Soren had already been behind bars in connection with the murder of his secretary. The court asked the petitioner to produce Soren on February 19 after the hearing.

UNI
