Sasken to form new co for auto electric products

New Delhi, Jan 25: Bangalore-based wireless software products provider Sasken Communication Technologies has said it will float a new company in collaboration with Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd, which will focus on automotive electronic products.

The new company, TACO Sasken Automotive Electronics, will design, develop and market automotive electronics products for the global market, addressing both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and aftermarket.

To start with, the joint venture will focus on automotive electronics products in the areas of telematics, infotainment and occupant convenience.

The company will start its operation from a product development centre at Bangalore, a statement from Saskan said.

''Through our cooperation (with Tata AutoComp) we would be able to provide cutting edge embedded technology to the automotive sector,'' company Chairman and CEO Rajiv Mody said.
