ONGC averts major major blow in gas pipeline
Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 24 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Commission(ONGC) officials today averted a major problem in a gas pipeline at Penumadam village in Podur Mandal at West Godavari district.
According to villagers the pipeline started leaking at 1100 hrs and flames billowed upto ten ft from the pipeline for sometime.
The fire brigade engaged by the ONGC officials rushed to the spot and seized off the pipeline point from the danger area. They also sprayed dry chemical over the flames and doused it.
The situation is now under control, the officials said.
