No change on SYL stand in Punjab poll campaign: Hooda

Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said he would not change his stand on the SYL issue while campaigning for party candidates in the Punjab assembly elections.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Hooda said if he was asked by the party high command to campaign in the Punjab polls, he would not forgo his demand for the completion of the SYL canal and supply of Ravi Beas waters.

Haryana Congress working president Ram Prakash said so far the party high command had not assigned them any work in the Punjab assembly polls, but the state Congress workers would go for campaigning on the request of individual party candidates.

He, however, said in Uttaranchal assembly polls, the Haryana Congress had been assigned the Hardwar district for campaigning.
