Health check-up-cum-blood donation camp organised to mark R Day

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Commemorating the Republic Day in a special way, the Samanvaya Foundation today organised a health check-up and blood donation camp on the occasion.

The camp, organised at the Chokhandi Chowk Gurudwara in Tilak Nagar, was inaugurated by Congress leader R K Anand.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Anand noted that there could be no better way of celebrating Republic Day than having people's health checked up.

''Today a large number of people suffer from diabetes but they are not aware of the problem. Occasions like this help to make people realize their strong and weak points,'' he added.

Samanvaya Foundation Chairman Jagjiwan Bakshi announced that the foundation is planning to hold several health camps across the city.
