Cong to hold rally in Chautala homeland

Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) On the completion of two years of the Hooda government, the Haryana Congress will organise a state-level rally at Sirsa, the home district of opposition INLD leader Om Prakash Chautala, on February 25.

Haryana Congress Working president Ram Prakash today said important announcements of public welfare would be made at the rally besides highlighting the significant achievements of the government during its two years of governance.

AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi, incharge of Haryana affairs, would also attend the rally named 'Navyug Rally''.

He said with the progress made in Haryana during the two years of Hooda government, the state was poised to enter a new era.

Responding to reporters' queries, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said there was no special reason for holding the rally at Sirsa. ''We just want to hold various rallies all over the state.'' The Haryana Congress earlier held its general body meeting to discuss the preparations for the rally.
