Yet another hoax call creates scare in Surat court

Surat, Jan 24 (UNI) A phone call, informing that a bomb has been planted in Surat district and session court in Athwlines this afternoon, turned out to a hoax.

An anonymous person called up the Surat district and sessions court here today saying that a bomb has been planted in the court building.

The Court registrar immediately informed the matter to the Umra police and a bomb disposal squad and dog squad were rushed to the spot. However, no explosive was found from the court after a thorough search, police said.

Recently, a spate of hoax calls had created scare at various courts in the district.
