UP Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey adjourned the House for about an hour suspending question hour in the process while the UP Council was adjourned for the day.

In both the Houses, the opposition members from BSP, BJP, Congress and RLD were agitated over the deteriorating law and order in the state and demanding urgent discussions on the cases of Nithari, Kavita and the recent rape case on Madarsa girls in Allahabad.

In assembly, all the opposition members were one while shouting anti-government slogans alleging the Samajwadi Party-led ruling dispensation being insensitive to people's problems.
