UJC angered by alleged threats to political personalities

Srinagar, Jan 24 (UNI) The Muzaffarabad-based United Jehad Council (UJC), a conglomerate of several militant outfits operating in Jammu and Kashmir, today took strong exception to the alleged threats issued by some elements to certain political personalities.

In a statement to the local media here, UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain alleged that these threats were the handiwork of Indian agencies.

''We strongly reject such mindset and actions. Such uncalled for actions are in no way in the interest of the ongoing freedom movement in Jammu and Kashmir. Instead, these only serve the Indian interests,'' he said.
