Row over baby: DNA test to find real mother

Hyderabad, Jan 24 (UNI) Two women, who share a common name and claimed motherhood of a baby girl, will under go a DNA test here tomorrow to find out who is the real mother.

Police said both the women named Shaheen were admitted to the maternity ward at Nilofer Children's Hospital for delivery.

While one Shaheen gave birth to a pre-mature baby-boy, which died after birth, on January 21, the other Shaheen gave birth to a baby girl on January 22.

When the nurses called out the name Shaheen to hand over the child, one of the Shaheens presented herself at the maternity ward and claimed the baby was hers.

Following this, the other Shaheen, along with her family, reached the spot presensed her claim over the boby.

To settle the dispute Hospital RMO Madhava Rao decided to conduct a DNA test to find out the baby's real mother.

UNI
