Police officials shy from posting in MP Lokayukta

Bhopal, Jan 24 (UNI) Even police officials in Madhya Pradesh shy away from posting in the Lokayukta Special Police and some have obtained stay from the High Court upon being posted.

This was revealed by Lokayukta Judge Ripusudan Dayal while interacting with mediapersons.

He said the proposal for increasing salary of Lokayukta officials by 15 per cent was pending with the state government from a long time.

''Besides more work load, the risk of working in Lokayukta is great. Under these circumstances, better salary and allowances could motivate people to come here and work,'' Mr Dayal said.

At present, one post of Inspector General, 12 posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police, four posts of sub-inspectors and 12 posts of constables were lying vacant in the Lokayukta Special Police.
