GMR Infrastructure registeres 79 per cent rise in Revenue

Bangalore, Jan 24 (UNI) GMR Infrastructure Limited (GIL), India's premier infrastructure company, has registered a 79 per cent increase in gross operating revenues to Rs 1268 Crore for the nine months ended December 31-2006 as compared to Rs 707.11 Crore earned during the corresponding period previous year.

The company profit after tax (consolidated) stood at Rs 202.25 Crore during the above period against Rs 155.06 Crore in the previous year, according to a release here today.

During the third quarter of the fiscal the company has earned a consolidated gross operating revenue of Rs 430.87 Crore, 96 per cent higher than Rs 219.36 earned in the quarter ended December 31-2005.

The net profit during the quarter increased by 43 per cent by earning Rs 68.75 Crore as against Rs 48.06 Crore earlier.
