DMDK condemns Union Finance Minister, TN CM

Puducherry, Jan 24 (UNI) The Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam (DMDK) today condemned Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for the Income Tax raids in the premises of party leader and Actor Vijayakanth yesterday.

In a statement here, Party Secretary Muthu alleged that the act was to tarnish the image of Mr Vijayakanth.

Meanwhile, 50 DMDK volunteers were arrested when they took out a procession and held a demonstration at Kandamangalam near here.
