Congress to petition to the Governor for Judicial probe

Bangalore, Jan 24 (UNI) Congress would petition to the Karnataka Governor against the outright rejection by the State government of its demand to order judicial probe into the recent violence in which a 12-year-old boy was killed in police firing and several others sustained injuries on January 21.

Talking to newsmen here, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjuna Kharge said that the party would submit a memorandum to the Governor and appeal to prevail upon the State government to take immediate steps to fill the vacancy. Holding RSS and its frontal organisations responsible for the violence, Mr Kharge alleged that RSS now indulging in blaming the Congress for the wide spread violence in certain parts of the City.

Criticising RSS for organising Hindu Samajothsav, Mr Kharge alleged that it was held to divide the Society on communal basis.
