Cabinet approves outlay of Rs 49,421 crore for 11th Plan
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 24 (UNI) The Kerala Cabinet today approved an outlay of Rs 49,421 crore for the 11th (Five Year)Plan and Rs 6,950 crore for the 2007-2008 annual plan, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told media here after the Cabinet meeting.
He said the state's outlay for the tenth Plan was Rs 24,000 crore.
The Cabinet has also decided to exempt tea, coffee and cardamom plantations from taxation for one year, considering the crisis in the plantation sector.
Beisdes, Mr Achuthanandan said a financial assistance of Rs five lakh would be given to a 12-year-old boy Akash whose legs were amputated after an accident involving a police recovery van at Kozhikode.
He would also be given suitable employment in government service after his education, the Chief Minister added.
