Akharas bid adieu to Ardh Kumbh; Feted at farewell

Ardh Kumbh Nagar, Jan 24 (UNI) The Ardh Kumbh Mela administration today organised a farewell function in the Mela Officer camp office to honour 13 akharas.

The mahamandleshwars, their representatives and saints were present in the farewell function.

Mela nodal officer and Allahabad divisional commissioner R N Tripathi and mela officer Pragyan Ram Mishra garlanded the mahamandeleshwars, their representatives and other saints and presented shawls, mementoes and smriti patra.

In today's function, the saints of Awahan Akhara, who boycotted all three 'shahi snans' were also present.

The mahamandaleshwars and saints, while expressing their satisfaction on the preparations for the mela, thanked the administration and gave their blessings.

The mela administration also thanked the akharas and sadhus for extending their cooperation.
