4 pilgrims among seven killed in road accidents
Jagadhri, Jan 24 (UNI) Seven people, including four pilgrims, were killed and over 40 injured in two road accidents overnight, near here, in Yamunanagar district of Haryana.
Four pilgrims, three of them women, were killed and 39 injured when a Jammu and Kashmir private bus, returning from Hardwar to Jammu, overturned at 0500 hrs on the Ambala-Yamunagar road, ten km from here, due to dense fog.
The deceased were identified as Rajkumari, Chanchla, Geeta Devi and Jagdish, all residents of Jammu. All the injured have been admitted to a Jagadhri hospital, where two of them are stated to be in serious condition.
In another accident, three boys were killed and two injured when a car rammed into a truck on the Jagadhri-Poanta road late last night.
The deceased were identified as Bharat, Gaurav and Bharat Kumar.
The incident occurred when these boys were returning to their village Khizrabad after attending a marriage in Jagadhri.
