Cold wave conditions make come back in Kashmir
Sriangar, Jan 23 (UNI) Cold wave conditions made a comeback in the Kashmir valley, which witnessed second coldest night after the minimum temperature dipped to minus 5 degree, again freezing parts of the world famous Dal Lake.
However, the day was warm with mercury six degrees above normal.
A weather office spokesman told UNI that the night in the Kashmir valley was again cold after the minimum temperature dipped to minus five degree, three degree below normal.
The cold wave conditions again froze parts of the Dal Lake.
However, it again melted as the day progressed.
He said the maximum temperature was recorded at 11.4 degree, which was 6.4 degree above normal.
Spokesman said the weather will remain dry during the next 24 hours.
However,he said that things may change for better from January 25 afternoon.
''We could see Western Disturbances (WD) active over Afghanistan which could later enter Northern Pakistan by tomorrow, ''he said.
There could be good rain or snowfall provided these WD did not move towards China, he said, adding somtimes the phenomenon move towards other side without touching Pakistan or Kashmir.
