Bhubaneswar, Jan 22 (UNI) Orissa Director General of Police Amarananda Pattnaik today denied receiving any intelligence report of a possible terrorist attack in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack before January 26 as reported in a section of the media.

He termed as ''baseless'' the report in a section of press about a possible attack by the Jaish-e-Mohammad, Laskhar-e-Taiba and the Students Islamic Movement of India in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

He said some ''vested interests'' were behind this rumour to create disturbances before the India-West Indies ODI cricket match to be played at Barbati Stadium at Cuttack on January 24.

The DGP said so far, the Orissa police had not received any intelligence input or communication about possible subversive activities by fundamentalist groups.

State Home Secretary T K Mishra also denied such report saying it has no basis and dubbed the report as ''unfounded''.

Mr Mishra said in view of the ODI cricket, security arrangements had been tightened.
