It was another chilly morning that welcomed Delhiites today as cold winds kept the minimum temperature at one degree below normal for the second consecutive day.
The cold wave, which has now been going on for the last three weeks, is likely to intensify in the coming days, with continuing prevalence of ground frost conditions over some parts of Punjab and north Haryana.
This, coupled with the fact that the weatherman has forecast a fresh snowfall over the Western Himalayan region from January 25, is likely to cause a drop in night temperatures in the run-up to the Republic Day.
