Air France plans joint call centre with KLM
New Delhi, Jan 21: Air France plans to set up a call centre here in April or May to serve the Indian market.
Airline officials said the call centre will handle reservations, claims and frequent flier programmes for Air France and KLM.
It will be the third call centre in Asia Pacific region, the other two being in Sydney and Guangzhou, China.
Air France increased its capacity out of India by 27 per cent in October last year. Together, Air France and KLM now offers 42 weekly frequencies (36 last year) to Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Officials said that the Indian market has consistently shown double-digit growth for the past three years. Passengers load factors in this month have been about 90 per cent.
The airline plans to increase flights out of India, which has emerged as one of the two most important markets in the Asia Pacific region (the other one being China).
