Div Cdr among 2 top HuM militants killed in J

Jammu, Jan 20: Security forces today gunned down two top militants of Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM), including its ''divisional commander'', in an encounter at Gandoh area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

On a specific information, a joint team of Army and police started cordon and search operation at Nali Dolu area under Gandoh police station this morning. During the search operation they were fired upon by militants and an encounter started.

''Two A-graded militants of HuM, including its 'divisonal commander' Noor Mohammad alias Ansari and 'area commander' Mohammad Ashraf alias Gauri, were eliminated,'' SSP Doda Manohar Singh told UNI
