Kerala: CERA launches Italian designer sanitaryware

Kochi, Jan 20: CERA Sanitaryware Limited, the Ahmedabad-based bathroom solution provider and sanitaryware major, today launched Italian designer sanitaryware, Pozzi-Ginori, in Kerala market.

Speaking to mediapersons after the launch, Marketing General Manager P K Shashidharan said the company has entered into a strategic alliance with Italy-based Pozzi-Ginori to market their high-end products in India.

He said the Pozzi-Ginori range, crafted by renowed ceramic designer Antonio Citterio, would be available in around 60 outlets in the country.

The company was aiming to achieve an all-India target of Rs five crore and Rs one crore for the state in the first year, he added.

Presently, five designer ranges with different themes and for different segments would be introduced to the market, he noted.

Mr Sashidharan said CERA was also considering the launch of Sanitec Group's wellness product range consisting of shower boxes and whirlpools in the near future.

He said CERA was also increasing the sanitaryware production at its plant in Kadi near Ahmedabad from 1.2 million pieces to 2.2 million pieces per annum, making it the largest the sanitaryware plant in India.

With the increasing production and launch of high-end products, the company is hopeful of repeating a sales growth of over 30 per cent in the current financial year, he noted.
