TAL to collaborate with Heller and MAUS of Europe
Bangalore, Jan 19 (UNI) The TAL Manufacturing Solutions Limited (TAL) a subsidiary of the Tata Motors, today announced Technical Collaboration with two Machine Tool Majors from Europe the Heller and the Maus to leverage its capabilities and bring the finest cost effective machinign solutions to the market.
Addressing a press conference here, TAL Manufacturing Solutions Chairman P M Telang announced that the company having an aim to gain leadership as a global engineering solutions company has entered into technical tie to update company's professional capabilities, production facilities and techniques.
He said that TAL is entering into collaboration with Heller to produce its range of products taking its technical excellence and with MAUS, a Carraro Group Company from Italy, to bring high-end cost effective Vertical turning Centers to the Indian Market.
Vertical Turning Centers are widely used in the Automotive, Aerospace, Bearings and Enerfy and Off-shore Equipments among others he added.
Mr Telang said that initiatlly the TAL would manufacture the high-end products of both Heller and MAUS at its state-of-the-art manufacture facility at Pune. The Technical collaborations would help to bring excellent quality machines at affordable prices in the future. The products of these two companies, known for its reliability, quality and flexibility, was aimed to cut cost gap between 20 to 30 per cent in the industry. ''There is also plans to start re-exporting back to collaborators in future with co-brands'' he added.
Mr Telang said that with the technical tie ups were expected to become Rs 250 crore company in 2007 and jack up to Rs 1000 crore by 2011.
Mr Lalit Kumar Pathwa, Managing Director TAL Manufacturing Solutions, who also spoke on the occasion, said that the company's technical collaboration with Heller and MAUS would further create synergies in the market by offering to its customers the high-end technological machining solutions.
Mr Pathwa also announced the launch of company's new range of next generation machines, the Vertical Machining Centres at IMTEX-2007 the V40 and V400 LAPC, indigenously developed multi-purpose machine which would manufacture light to heavy components for the automotive sector.
