Rs 150 crore for development of model villages in Haryana
Chandigarh, Jan 19 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to provide Rs 150 crore for development of model villages in the state on the basis of the recommendations of the 2nd State Finance Commission.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.
It was decided to provide Rs 75 crore each for the year 2006-07 and 2007-08 for the development of model villages.
It may be recalled that sum of Rs 50 crore were provided for the purpose for the year 2006-07 in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on November 23, 2005. This amount has now been revised to Rs 75 crore.
