Plea against commercial activity in Faridabad houses

Chandigarh, Jan 19 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notices to authorities concerned for February 19 on the two applications moved by All Sectors HUDA Markets Welfare Association, Faridabad seeking action against those who had resumed commercial activity from their residential premises in violation of the High Court orders against misuse of residential premises.

The High Court had ordered Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) as also Haryana Housing Board (HHB) to seal all such residential premises where commercial activity was going on.

In one of the applications, the petitioners have sought permission to place on record the FIR registered on December 16,2006 at police station Sector 7, Faridabad under sections 188,506,353 and 186 IPC against the shopkeepers violating the court orders.

The other has sought action against those who after giving an undertaking against use of residential premises for commercial purposes, have resumed commercial activity from their premises.
