Governor Krishna confers Police Medals on 63 Personnel
Mumbai, Jan 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna today presented the Police Medal for Gallantry to Rajaramsingh Dharamsingh Chauhan, Head Constable, Pune, at an investiture ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
The Gallantry award of Late Shrikrishna Suryakant Pednekar, Police Head Constable, Mumbai (posthumous) was received by his kin.
The President's Police Medals for Distinguished Service were given to Jeevan D Veerkar, Director General of Police, anti-Corruption Bureau and Abdul Razaq Abdul Karim, Sub-divisional Police Officer, Nanded. The Police Medals for Meritorious Service were given to 59 Police Officers and Police Personnel, an official release issued said here.
Additional Police Commissioner K L Bishnoi, Deputy I G Rashmi Shukla, Additional Police Commissioner Rajneesh Seth and Additional Police Commissioner, Nagpur Dr B K Upadhyay are among those presented with Police Medals for Meritorious Service.
Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Director General of Police Dr P S Pasricha, Commissioner of Police A N Roy and other high ranking serving and retired police officers and families of police persons honoured at the ceremony were present on the occasion.
