A Marathi film depicting the mentality of the young generation
Kolhapur, Jan 19 (UNI) A Marathi film, 'Amruta Boltey', which attempts to focus on the impressionable psychology of the younger generation and raise awareness among their guardians, is slated for release on January 26 in the state.
Addressing a joint press-conference here, film producers Supriya Puranik, Sushant Puranik and director Samruddi Jadhav explained the concept behind their creation.
''If a tender friendship among the young, turns into affection and love then anything can happened,'' they cautioned.
Young age is like ''lightening and stormy weather'' and how many a times, even causual friendships can create misunderstandings, is portrayed in the film, they explained.
Through this film, the central protagonist, Amruta herself speaks to today's generation and their parents, regarding the paramount importance of adopting a thoughtful and sensitive approach towards life and each other.
While the role of Amruta has been played by up-coming Marathi actress Ms Madhura Velankar, her friend in the movie will be a new artist, Mr Rajesh Shringarpute. Besides the duo, other artists in the film include Siddharth Jadhav, Madhu Kambikar, Dr Girish Oak, Dr Sushrut Puranik and others, Mr Sushant Puranik disclosed yesterday evening.
