Repayment of 13.65 per cent Government stock, 2007 on Feb 21

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) The Government will repay the outstanding 13.65 per cent Government Stock, 2007 at par on February 21, 2007.

According to an official release issued here today, no interest will be paid on these bonds from February 21, 2007.

In case that particular day is being declared as holiday by any State Government under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the stock will be repaid by the paying offices in that state on the previous working day.

In order to facilitate repayment of the stock on the due date, holders may tender the securities duly discharged at the Public Debt Offices, Treasuries/Sub-Treasuries and branches of State Bank of India and its Associate Banks (at which they are enfaced /registered for payment of interest) 20 days in advance of the due date for repayment, the release added.
