Lucknow, Jan 18 (UNI) A Supreme Court lawyer, protesting the entry of MNCs in the retail sector, today claimed the livelihood of 15 crore Muslims would be directly effected by the central government's decision.

Talking to reporters here, Sonia Raj Sood claimed that 80 per cent of Muslims were small traders with little educational background. ''Therefore, the entry of such retail giants will create a major economic problem for them.'' In a bid to pressurise the central government on the issue, Sood took the assistance of several Muslim clerics, who have written to the Prime Minister opposing the entry of the likes of Wal Mart.

The SC advocate also claimed the SEZ Act was unconstitutional as it created discrimination amongst the exporters.
