MacroMedia Digital to invest Rs 10 crore in India

Chennai, Jan 18 (UNI) Digital printing major MacroMedia Digital (MMD) has entered into a tie-up with MacroMedia Digital Imaging to invest Rs 10 crore in the Indian printing industry to install and commission the latest HP Scitex digital printing solution.

According to a company release here today, targeted at the Point of purchase (POP) and Point of Sale (POS) applications, the installation of the HP Scitex FB6700 in India would give a boost to the retail printing industry.

HP Scitex had enabled MacroMedia Digital to carve a niche for itself by becoming the first Indian company to have invested in the HP Scitex FB6700, the world's first fully automated digital press taking digital printing to the next level.

The unique technology uses odour-free, environmental-friendly water-based pigment inks.

Commenting on the partnership, the release quoted MacroMedia Digital Imaging Managing Director Naresh Kumar as saying " the new HP Scitex FB6700 would facilitate cost-effectiveness with unbeatable quality, which would help us explore new opportunities and potential markets such as retail".
