Bhavna Yadav's deposition adjourned to Feb 8

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) A Delhi Court today adjourned the matter for deposition of Bhavna Yadav, daughter of former Rajya Sabha member D P Yadav, on February 8, 2007 in the Nitish Katara murder case.

The adjournment was made after hearing the prayer of Bhavna Yadav's counsel that she could not appear today due to her child's illness.

Additional sessions judge Ravinder Kaur ordered to summon Ms Yadav for deposition for proper and just disposal of the case on February 8, 2007.

According to the prosecution, Bharti Yadav had categorically denied during her examination in the court about the use of cell phone bearing number 9810038469 and that she had ever received any call from Neelam Katara, Bharat Diwakar, Gaurav Gupta and Nitin Katara on February 16-17, 2002.

The cell phone company has reported that the SIM card number concerned was issued in the name of Bhavna, sister of Bharti Yadav, resident of R 4/32 Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad, UP, which belongs to D P Yadav.

Bharti's brother Vikas Yadav and her cousin Vishal Yadav are accused of murdering Nitish Katara after abducting him from a marriage party in Ghaziabad, UP, in February 2002.
