GSLV's Cryogenic Stage full duration test tomo
Chennai, Jan 18: India's space programme is all set to soar to dizzying heights with tomorrow's full duration test of indigenous cryogenic stage for the GSLV at the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre in Mahendragiri, about 30 km from Nagercoil.
On successful testing of the cryogenic stage for a full duration of 720 seconds, India would become self-reliant in every department of the rocket technology and confirm its position in the global league of this highly sophisticated technology.
India would become the sixth nation to have this highly complex technology after United States, Russia, Japan and China.
After the successful firing of the cryogenic stage for 50 seconds in October last year, for the first time the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) would be going in for a full-duration test.
