Subedar Major dies of cardiac arrest in Rajouri

Jammu, Jan 17 (UNI) A senior most Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of army died of a cardiac arrest on duty at the bordering Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said today.

Subedar Major Surinder Kumar Verma of 323 brigade at Rajouri died on duty, apparently due to a cardiac failure, defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

The body of Subedar Major Verma was taken to the hospital for autopsy to confirm the cause of death, the spokesman added.
