Political heavyweights to come to Manipur for election campaigns

Imphal, Jan 17 (UNI) All the political parties have asked their national leaders to start campaign for the assembly elections in Manipur scheduled in February.

The BJP Manipur unit has confirmed that the party President Rajnath Singh would be coming in February along with Sushma Swaraj.

The Congress party informed that senior leader Kyndiah would come tomorrow to Imphal. Congress observers would also be permanently stationed in Manipur, Congress leaders said.

The CPI Secretary A B Bardhan would also come in February, CPI State Secretary B Sharma said.

The NCP leaders said senior leaders of NCP like P A Sangma were also expected to come to Manipur for election purposes. The RJD, JD(S) and other political parties said their leaders would also be coming to Manipur.
