Nithari killings: Investigation rules out any 'signs of cannibalism'

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Ruling out any signs of cannibalism in the Nithari serial killings so far, a senior investigation officer today said involvement of others besides the two accused was still being investigated.

A senior member of the forensic team, investigating the Nithari killings, said no signs of cannibalism by the two arrested accused had come to the fore.

''There are no signs that the accused indulged in any sort of cannibalism.'' The remains of 22 'victims' have been 'checked' so far and their identities are being ascertained, he said adding that involvement of anyone else, except Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli, has yet to be found.

Meanwhile, at its camp office in Sector 38 Noida (UP), the CBI team today met more than two dozen people whose children have been missing.

The team was today met the relatives only of minor girls only.

The rest were being directed to the Noida Police.

The CBI team today completed the 'cleaning' of the 'bada nullah', close to the killer house in Sector 31 Nithari village, where nearly 42 bags of skeletal remains of women and children were dug out in searches carried out by the central agency.
