MP farmers facing power and urea crisis: NCP
Bhopal, Jan 17 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has alleged that peasants were going through a tough time due unavailability of power and urea.
State NCP Vice-President Captain Singh told reporters here today that the government had failed to provide adequate power for irrigation purpose to farmers.
''While the government claimed that power was available in the whole state and agriculturists were being provided power as required, the reality was that the farmers were facing problems due to lack of power,'' he said.
Mr Singh said urea scarcity had aggravated the problems of farmers, who were unable to complete sowing in time creating a problem of survival for them.
He said a convention of party workers was being organised at Mehgaon in Bhind district on January 20 in order to prepare strategies to launch statewide agitation over these issues.
NCP National Secretary and party Madhya Pradesh incharge Kunwar Pratap Choudhary and state NCP President Hameed Qazi would address the convention.
