BJP demands scrapping of Goa Regional Plan in toto

Panaji, Jan 17 (UNI) The BJP legislature party today unanimously resolved that the Regional Plan 2011, which prima facie appeared to be ''against the interests of the people of Goa,'' should be scrapped.

It also demanded that the Regional Plan 2001 be brought into force immediately, pending finalisation of the new regional plan.

The legislature group also congratulated its leader Mr Manohar Parrikar for sacking Mr Atanasio Monserratte from Town and Country Planning portfolio in January 2005.
